Botanical Name : Psidium guajava
Guava is a native of tropical America but has
been naturalised in many countries. The common guava have lots
of small seeds at the center of the fruit. With advance in the
agricultural technique seedless guava is born, mainly grown
in Malaysia. It is much sweeter and crunchier. Fruits are produced
all year round.
Guava trees of various varieties are now cultivate
in Thailand and Taiwan. The guava plant grown well in tripical
climate.
Eaten as fruit , salad or drink (blend juice).
When choosing guava, tap the fruit with you
index finger look for hollow sound and skin pale green. Those
dark green are not fully ripe and not so sweet.
