Watremelon is a fruit and plant of a vine-like
herb originally from southern Africa and one of the most common
type of melon .
The watermelon fruit, has a smooth exterior
rind (green and yellow) and a juicy, sweet, usually red or yellow
interior flesh but sometimes orange. The flesh consists of highly
developed placental tissue within the fruit.

Uses, eaten as fruit, dessert, watermelon juice
as drink, the white part of the skin can be used in soup.
Watermelon carving are used in restaurant as
display with others carved fruits and vegetables.
Watermelon can be cut in wedges and serve, or
remove skin and cut watermelon flesh in about 1 1/2 inch cubes
and serve. Some like to sprinkle a little salt for added taste.
Best eaten on the same day, not to keep
to many days as you dont know how long is in the store. Choose
heavy ones, tap the watermelon with your fingers for hollow
sound.
